Transfer Serato crates into Rekordbox with folder hierarchy intact.
Switching controllers or gigs often forces a Serato-to-Rekordbox move. The Rekordbox XML import is notoriously fragile: nested crates flatten, track paths break if drives remount differently, and the whole process can take a full evening for a medium library.
Supported today
Rekordbox · Serato DJ · VirtualDJ (incl. Favorite Folders) on Windows 10+ and macOS (Apple Silicon + Intel).
Serato stores each crate as its own file under _Serato_/Subcrates/. Rekordbox uses a single SQLite master.db. Most tools can't bridge those two models cleanly. MLD treats both as first-class formats and maps them one-to-one.
We recommend closing both Serato and Rekordbox while MLD works, to avoid either app caching a stale version of its library.
Smart Crates are rule-based queries, not static playlists. MLD converts them to regular Rekordbox playlists snapshotted at transfer time.
We don't touch Serato's database files — only read them. Your Serato library stays intact after the transfer.
Yes. MLD adds playlists alongside your existing ones; nothing is overwritten.
Free tier covers detection and viewing. Lifetime access is $49 — $19 for the first 100 DJs.
