Music Library Doctor
Library diagnostics

Your DJ library, scored 0–100

A single health score — missing tracks, duplicates, broken links, scattered folders — with one-click actions to push it up. Works across Rekordbox, Serato, and VirtualDJ.

The problem

You know your library 'needs cleanup' but you don't know *how bad*. Is it 50 missing tracks or 500? Are duplicates a bigger problem than broken paths? Most DJ software gives you no answer. You either tolerate the pop-ups forever or set aside a dreaded weekend to audit by hand.

How Music Library Doctor does it

  1. 1 Install Music Library Doctor and let it scan your Rekordbox, Serato, and VirtualDJ libraries.
  2. 2 The dashboard shows your current score (0–100) with a breakdown: `234 missing files, 89 duplicates, 12 broken links, scatter across 17 folders`.
  3. 3 Each category has a one-click action — Fix missing, Remove duplicates, Run consolidation wizard. No multi-step workflows.
  4. 4 As each action completes, the score updates live. You can see exactly how much each fix helped.
  5. 5 Re-scan any time. The score is a running diagnostic, not a one-time report.

Supported today

Rekordbox · Serato DJ · VirtualDJ (incl. Favorite Folders) on Windows 10+ and macOS (Apple Silicon + Intel).

Why native integration matters

A single number forces priority. Instead of staring at three different dashboards trying to figure out whether duplicates or missing tracks are the bigger issue, you see a score and a breakdown, and you know exactly where to spend 10 minutes for the biggest win. The same score works across all three DJ apps, so you're not juggling three separate 'audit' workflows.

Frequently asked questions

What factors into the score?

Missing tracks, duplicate tracks, broken playlist references, folder scatter, and orphan files (present on disk but not in any playlist).

Can I see the score for just one DJ app?

Yes. The dashboard has per-app scores as well as an overall score if you use multiple apps.

Does the free tier show the score?

Yes. The free tier shows the full score and breakdown. Bulk fix actions (which actually improve the score) require Pro.

How long does the initial scan take?

A typical 20,000-track library scores in under a minute on either Windows or macOS. Subsequent scans are incremental.

Does the score penalize tracks on unplugged external drives?

No. Offline drives are handled separately — tracks on them don't count as missing, they count as offline. The score only flags real problems.
